The personal branding photography with Tracey Lilley Ceramics unfolded in her studio, nestled within the breathtaking Ballyhoura Mountains, bridging south-east Limerick and north-east Cork. Drawing inspiration from the stunning Irish landscape she cherishes, Tracey infuses her beautiful designs with the essence of nature, often incorporating the Irish fern into her handcrafted creations.

Tracey's studio is on the Cork side so I found myself back on roads I travelled many times to bride's home and churches. There are few churches and town lands I haven't worked in around Munster.

Planning the branding photography took a few weeks as we were working with her brand design team and a few clarify calls to make sure all her images reflected her brand needs.

Tracey booked my most popular branding package where we spend a half day together and create a strong gallery of photography for her website and across all her social media content.

Photographing her in her creative studio was a dream, and we embraced this moment naturally, utilising the stunning natural light that graces her workspace. I prefer to work in silence when photographing creatives, allowing them to lose themselves in their art rather than focusing on the branding shoot itself.

With years of experience working with women in business, I easily recognise their pain points and gently guide them to dissolve these concerns early on in their branding or rebranding photography journey.

Once I hear my clients' needs and the unique message they wish to convey, my shoot style becomes an editorial blend with a lifestyle essence, moving away from the posed. With clear styling and colour palettes in mind, I even brought along a few items from my studio wardrobe that I knew would look fabulous on Tracey.

On my branding shoots, I love to include portraits of my clients outside of work - I feel it helps with connection to their followers and potential clients. As I run a small business owner myself, I know that showing up and sharing my inspirations are always what gains the most interest. Sometimes these images are what make small businesses stand out.
